Naviera Armas Freight
Since it was founded in 1941, Naviera Armas has become one of the most important shipping companies of the Spanish peninsular.

Naviera Armas has owned more than 50 ships along its history. They started with wood hull ships, with pure sailboats and motoveleros (motor powered sailboats) endowed with legendary names.

Naviera Armas added steel hull ships and propulsion diesel together with steam engines. With these new additions, Navier Armas expanded its commercial activity out of the insular borders, reaching the former province of the Spanish Sahara.

In more recent years, the son of the founder (Antonio Armas Fernandez), took the reins of the company and due to his initiative, the first ro-ro ferries in the Canary Islands were introduced.

From 1995 a significant change took place in the managerial strategy and Naviera Armas activities now include regular sailings for both passenger ferry and freight ferry transportation.
Naviera Armas vessels are named after the Canary Islands volcanoes. Vessels include:

- Volcán de Tindaya (Tindaya's volcano) crossing from Playa Blanca (Lanzarote) to Corralejo (Fuerteventura) 14 times a day.
- Volcán de Tamasite (Tamasite's volcano) that joins Las Palmas (Great Canary) with Morrojable (Fuerteventura) 2 times per day.
- Volcán de Timanfaya (Timanfaya's volcano) joining Tenerife/Gran Canaria with Lanzarote 7 times a week.
- Volcán de Teneguía (Teneguía's volcano) that will join the most western islands, Tenerife with La Gomera and El Hierro.

Naviera Armas offer a fleet of more than 8 modern ferries sailing on more than 28 routes helping to make the Canary Islands one of the better connected regions by ferry in Europe.
