NorthLink Ferries launched its cruise-standard ferry service to Orkney and Shetland from the Scottish mainland in October 2002.

NorthLink Ferries operate three main freight routes – Lerwick - Aberdeen, Kirkwall - Aberdeen and Stromness – Scrabster, providing freight customers with a reliable and cost effective way of transporting cargoes.

The NorthLink freight ferry service is fully integrated with its passenger vessel service.

The specialist freight vessel MV Hascosay, can deal with heavy and outsized ro-ro traffic and hazardous cargoes.

The frequency of the service and sailing times have been carefully prepared for your convenience to make travel to the northern isles more simple and enjoyable than ever before.
